SO, what is a public forum anyway?
Open for all to attend, a public forum is an interactive presentation and discussion about a pressing social, environmental, or political issue and its possible resolutions. Through a combination of our prepared research and the audience's input, the goal of this forum is to discover solutions to environmental problems, and therefore plan for a healthier city of Boston. This forum process will be beneficial in helping future researchers at the Museum of Science who focus on these issues, as well as inform all of you in attendance about how major policy decisions are made.
What issues will we be discussing?
- The Urban Heat Island Effect and rising temperatures
- Water quality along the Charles River
- Air quality between different commutes to work
